Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care and inpatient rehab experience for a 13-week assignment at a hospital-based therapy department in Fort Worth, TX.
Details
- Position is based in the Occupational Therapy department on the 3rd floor of the main hospital building
- Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Patient caseload ratios are approximately 10–12 patients in acute care and 4–5 patients in inpatient rehab
- Department is a multidisciplinary team of approximately 50 staff, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists
- Float coverage may include all departments throughout the hospital (acute care)
- Rotation of at least one weekend day per month; schedule may follow a Tuesday–Saturday rotation
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role
- Acute care experience required
- Inpatient rehab experience required
- Active Texas OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; certification must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Primary responsibilities include conducting OT evaluations and providing regular therapy interventions
- Hunter green scrubs are required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
