Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position on the 9E Acute Care unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and AHA BLS certification.

Details

• 28-bed acute care unit serving adult cardiopulmonary and neuro overflow patients
• Cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry monitoring capabilities
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Unit is supported by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and telemetry monitor techs
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period
• Holiday coverage required based on department needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK or Compact RN license currently in hand
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address (no international addresses)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs
• Must be able to exercise critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
• Standard precautions and appropriate PPE must be followed at all times
• Two professional references required for consideration
