Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Birth Center in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2+ years of OB experience and current fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Position is located in a Birth Center within a 111-bed teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area of southeastern Washington
- Labor & Delivery department with 6 labor rooms, 3 triage beds, and 11 Mother/Baby rooms
- Adult OB patient population with a volume of approximately 110 deliveries per month
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week with 48 weekend hours per month required
- Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
- No on-call requirements
- EHR systems: Centricity and Paragon
Requirements
- Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute OB/L&D experience required
- Required certifications: Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, and NRP (AHA-issued certifications required)
- OR circulation, Mother/Baby, and triage experience preferred but not required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care to adult OB patients including triage and monitoring
- Flexibility and strong communication skills are valued on this unit
- Scrub colors: blue and blue/green
- Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- This is a 13-week travel contract

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
