Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Birth Center in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2+ years of OB experience and current fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Position is located in a Birth Center within a 111-bed teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area of southeastern Washington
• Labor & Delivery department with 6 labor rooms, 3 triage beds, and 11 Mother/Baby rooms
• Adult OB patient population with a volume of approximately 110 deliveries per month
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week with 48 weekend hours per month required
• Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
• No on-call requirements
• EHR systems: Centricity and Paragon

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute OB/L&D experience required
• Required certifications: Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, and NRP (AHA-issued certifications required)
• OR circulation, Mother/Baby, and triage experience preferred but not required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate

Additional Information

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care to adult OB patients including triage and monitoring
• Flexibility and strong communication skills are valued on this unit
• Scrub colors: blue and blue/green
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• This is a 13-week travel contract
