Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Birth Center in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2+ years of OB experience and night shift availability.

• Located at a 111-bed teaching hospital in Kennewick, WA, serving the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland)
• Assigned to the Birth Center / Labor & Delivery unit
• Unit consists of 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
• Adult obstetric patient population with approximately 110 deliveries per month
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• EMR systems used: Centricity and Paragon
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: 48 hours per month
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute OB/L&D experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) — AHA-issued certifications required
• OR circulation, mother/baby, and triage experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Scrub colors: blue and blue/green
• Strong communication skills and flexibility are important qualities for this role
