Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (L&D) night shift position at a community hospital in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2+ years of OB experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Located in a Birth Center within a community hospital setting in Kennewick, WA, serving the Tri-Cities area
- Labor & Delivery unit with 6 labor rooms, 11 mother/baby rooms, and 3 triage beds
- Adult OB patient population with approximately 110 deliveries per month
- Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend requirement (48 hours/month)
- Floating required to Mother/Baby unit
- No on-call requirements
- EHR systems: Centricity and Paragon
Requirements
- Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring — AHA certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
- OB/L&D nursing experience required
- Experience in OR circulation, mother/baby, and triage preferred but not required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- 13-week contract
- New employee orientation (NEO) is offered on a bi-weekly schedule throughout the year
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
- Candidates who have worked permanently at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates who are employed full time elsewhere are not eligible
- Scrub color: blue and blue/green
- Teaching hospital serving a full range of services including ED, OBGYN, orthopedics, pediatrics, and more
- Located in southeastern Washington's Tri-Cities region, 3 hours from Seattle and Portland and 2 hours from Spokane

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
