Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Des Moines, IA, requiring at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience and strong circulator skills with structural heart experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) setting across multiple Des Moines campuses
• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday with a rotating day off during the week (blocked scheduling not guaranteed)
• 40 hours per week
• On-call requirement: 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend (Friday 7:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Floating required across all Des Moines campuses to like units
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact/multistate RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience required
• Structural heart experience required
• Strong and experienced circulator skills required
• EP (electrophysiology) experience highly preferred
• Scrubber experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Supervisory/charge-level professional reference from within the past 24 months preferred for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must be willing to precept staff as needed
• Holiday coverage required: candidates must be available to work 1–2 of the 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
• Candidates who were previously employed by the health system as an FTE or PRN within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• 13-week contract duration
