Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Women's Services / Labor & Delivery position in Lander, WY, requiring at least 2 years of recent OB experience and multiple active certifications including NRP and STABLE.

Details

• Work setting is a community hospital OB unit (Women's Services/L&D)
• Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, postpartum, antepartum, triage, and OB/GYN (e.g., post-op hysterectomy) patients
• Circulates during C-sections, attends deliveries, and provides care at the neonatal station post-delivery
• Every-other-weekend requirement
• Floating to another unit may be required based on census, limited to a helping hands or sitter role

Requirements

• Active WY RN license or compact multi-state RN license currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in L&D/LDRP, postpartum, antepartum, triage, and/or OB/GYN
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association; RQI certifications are not accepted)
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, patient assessment, monitoring, and care coordination across disciplines
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances, and serves as a patient advocate
• Attends fetal monitoring certification classes every two years and STABLE certification class when offered
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and will be offered a reduced travel pay rate
