Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Services / Labor & Delivery night shift position in Lander, WY, requiring 2 years of OB experience and active WY or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based OB unit providing Women's Services care
• Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, antepartum, postpartum, OB/GYN (including post-op hysterectomy), triage, and LDRP cases
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to another unit may be required based on census, in a helping hands or sitter capacity only
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active WY RN license or compact RN license required and must be currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and AWHONN (BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association; RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in L&D/LDRP, postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, or OB/GYN
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All required certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating during C-sections, attending deliveries to assist the physician, and providing recovery and post-surgical care per policy
• Assesses neonates at the neonatal station in the C-section suite following delivery
• Maintains fetal monitoring certification on a biennial basis
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
