Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Women's Services / Labor & Delivery night shift position in Lander, WY, requiring 2 years of OB experience and active WY or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Hospital-based OB unit providing Women's Services care
- Patient population includes Labor & Delivery, antepartum, postpartum, OB/GYN (including post-op hysterectomy), triage, and LDRP cases
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to another unit may be required based on census, in a helping hands or sitter capacity only
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active WY RN license or compact RN license required and must be currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and AWHONN (BLS and ACLS must be through the American Heart Association; RQI certifications are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in L&D/LDRP, postpartum, Level 1 Nursery, or OB/GYN
- SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- All required certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating during C-sections, attending deliveries to assist the physician, and providing recovery and post-surgical care per policy
- Assesses neonates at the neonatal station in the C-section suite following delivery
- Maintains fetal monitoring certification on a biennial basis
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs
- Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
