Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Olney, IL, requiring Epic EMR experience and Illinois licensure.

Details

• Works in an Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
• No floating requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and ECRN
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• 2+ years of ED or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must be able to work with patients of all age groups, including disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile patients and/or families
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Performs patient assessments, develops and continuously updates individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
• Executes and modifies nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluation
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and records
• Responsible for patient and staff safety through appropriate nursing interventions and adherence to safety standards
• Collaborates and communicates effectively with staff, visitors, and families to promote a positive care environment
• Candidate interviews conducted by Carle Health leadership
• RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travelers who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any Carle Health location
