Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac, med-surg adult, and telemetry (cardiac and med-surg) cases
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36-hour workweek
• Every other weekend may be required at the discretion of the Department Manager or Supervisor
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held)
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• MOAB or CPI certification preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask required

Additional Information

• Works under the supervision of the Unit Director, with shift-level supervision provided by the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse
• Must be a team player with flexible availability
• Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible and accepted, but will receive a lower local pay rate
• Travelers may work a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments before being required to leave the facility for at least 26 weeks prior to returning
