Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU (Pediatric ICU) travel assignment, with Cerner experience required and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility may be required
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active Indiana (IN) or Compact RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required; both AHA and RQI certifications are accepted
• Minimum 18 months of PICU RN experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• RN degree must be from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• Indiana residents are not eligible for this position (IN residents are considered local and locals are not accepted for ICU positions)
• Proof of ACEN or CCNE accreditation required

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
• Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break before resetting eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, in-state residents require a 180-day break
