Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a large Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a short-term acute care hospital with 1,567 staffed beds
• Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center environment
• Average patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling is not available
• No on-call responsibilities
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required; pending license accepted if active prior to start date
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center setting required
• No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates who were previously permanent staff at this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered
• RTO of 7 days or fewer may be auto-approved; requests exceeding 7 days require facility approval
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
• Scrub color: Royal blue
• Parking is available at a cost of $125/month
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
