Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring at least 2 years of OR experience and a Louisiana or Compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 7-room Operating Room at an acute care hospital
• Handles a caseload of 10–25 cases per day
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• Call required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• 2 weekends required per 6-week schedule
• Green scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active Louisiana or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• CVOR experience preferred but not required
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply, provided they have sufficient OR experience
• In the event of an emergency, the unit manager may assign staff to an Emergency Team, which may include remaining on-site until the event passes or joining a relief team
• RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
• Holiday call coverage is required
