Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a hospital in Key West, FL, requiring 2+ years of experience and comfort working independently in a NICU setting.

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy department in Key West, FL
• Patient population includes NICU and pediatric patients
• Charting system: Medhost
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts (non-block scheduling)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience
• FL RRT or CRT license required (license required if applicable)
• Active certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
• Must be comfortable working independently in a NICU setting; pediatric experience also acceptable
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• AHCA background check required for Florida placements

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, airway maintenance, and ventilator management
• Additional duties include insertion of arterial lines, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis
• Provides timely diagnostic and therapeutic services to both inpatients and outpatients following protocols approved by the medical staff
• CRT candidates will be considered in addition to RRTs
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
