Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a 15-bed LDRP unit requiring at least 2 years of OB experience and cross-training across all LDRP areas.
Details
- 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting
- Antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, couplet care, and triage patient populations
- Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
- Required to work in all areas of the LDRP unit
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- Every other weekend required
- Float to other units within the facility as a sitter when needed, and to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away based on census needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active MI RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
- Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
- Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
- Preferred skill: Scrub
Additional Information
- RNs perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training provided for hearing screens
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Holiday coverage is required; RTO requests during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing needs
- No RTO approved during the first two weeks of the contract
