Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week travel assignment in an outpatient physical therapy setting in Rio Rico, AZ.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
- Caseload includes general outpatient patients, injured workers, and direct access cases
- Responsibilities span a broad range of outpatient PT services including work hardening, functional capacity evaluations (FCEs), post-offer employment testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS or APET), and ergonomic evaluations
- Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Requirements
- Active Arizona PT license required prior to start date; license must be in good standing (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Familiarity with occupational health PT practices, including ACOMP systems and Return to Work program protocols, is beneficial
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access, supervising PTAs, and maintaining timely communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses
- Role involves performing work hardening evaluations, FCEs, ergonomic evaluations, and job analyses
- Candidate will supervise PT technicians in cleaning and organizational tasks and assist with scheduling and phone coverage as needed
- Expected to participate in business development activities and community outreach when patient load allows
- All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
