Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience and ARDMS certification for a hospital-based position in Minnesota.

Details

• Hospital-based ultrasound department covering two locations: Albert Lea and Austin, MN
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Weekday on-call approximately twice per month from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend on-call approximately once every other month from 5:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
• Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Sonographer
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
• ARDMS registration in RVT or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain RVT or RDMS within 6 months of employment, both within 12 months, and a third certification within 18 months
• Employees providing breast imaging must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross required
• Active license required if applicable
• No pending license accepted
• COVID vaccination and booster required
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation in accordance with Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards
• Must be able to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times, and lengths is expected, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
• First-time travelers will be considered provided they meet the minimum experience requirement
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a break is required before returning to a new assignment
