Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of hospital setting experience for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within the main hospital building
- 44-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Unit staffing includes 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Specialized equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
- Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
- Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
- May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
- Inpatient rehab experience required; hospital experience required
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Active OT license required if applicable
- Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the OT role
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)
Additional Information
- Procedures performed include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
- AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices are expected
- Preferred dress code: black scrub bottoms and royal blue top
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
