Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with recent acute care hospital experience for a night shift travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Therapy unit of a 240-bed hospital
- Unit staffed by 15 RTs with minimum staffing of 3 on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratios average 30-40 points per shift
- Support ED, PEDS, ICU, NICU, and Med Surg patient populations
- Uses Hamilton G5 ventilators
- EMR system is Meditech
- Night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital RRT experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- CRT or NBRC certification required
- License required if applicable
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- PICU experience preferred
- NICU experience preferred
Additional Information
- Administer respiratory treatments including ventilator setup, assist with intubation, ABG collection, and patient/staff education
- Perform all RT therapies across multiple departments
- Play a key role in NICU and ICU therapy and ventilator liberation, requiring autonomy
- Team-player and collaborative personality preferred
- Flexible scheduling available
- 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
