Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift travel assignment in a 240-bed acute care hospital in Lone Tree, CO.

Details

• Work in a Respiratory Therapy department at a 240-bed acute care hospital
• Serves a broad patient population across ED, Peds, ICU, NICU, and Med/Surg settings
• Patient load averages 30–40 points per shift
• Primary ventilator used is the Hamilton G5
• Charting is performed in Meditech; prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• RT plays a central role in NICU and ICU therapy and ventilator liberation, requiring a high degree of autonomy
• Flexible scheduling available

Requirements

• Active RRT credential and licensure required; license required if applicable
• Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital RRT experience, with experience within the last 6 months
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• CRT or NBRC credential required
• PICU and/or NICU experience preferred
• SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, performing ABGs, and providing patient and staff education
• Staff team consists of 15 RTs with minimum staffing of 3 per shift (day and night)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
