Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a night shift travel assignment in a 240-bed acute care hospital in Lone Tree, CO.
Details
- Work in a Respiratory Therapy department at a 240-bed acute care hospital
- Serves a broad patient population across ED, Peds, ICU, NICU, and Med/Surg settings
- Patient load averages 30–40 points per shift
- Primary ventilator used is the Hamilton G5
- Charting is performed in Meditech; prior Meditech experience is preferred
- Night shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- RT plays a central role in NICU and ICU therapy and ventilator liberation, requiring a high degree of autonomy
- Flexible scheduling available
Requirements
- Active RRT credential and licensure required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 6 months of current acute care hospital RRT experience, with experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- CRT or NBRC credential required
- PICU and/or NICU experience preferred
- SSN (US only) and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include administering treatments, ventilator setup, assisting with intubation, performing ABGs, and providing patient and staff education
- Staff team consists of 15 RTs with minimum staffing of 3 per shift (day and night)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- Collaborative, team-player personality is a strong fit for this unit
