Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/Endovascular position at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center in Rapid City, SD, with required TAMBE and PMEG experience.

- Position is based in the CVOR/Cath Lab unit of a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital in Rapid City, SD
- Adult patient population undergoing open and closed endovascular and structural procedures
- Common procedures include TAMBE (thoracoabdominal branch endoprosthesis), PMEG (physician modified endovascular graft), TCAR, TEVAR, TAVR, TMVR, aortoiliac femoral femoral angiogram, and femoral bypass
- Unit consists of one procedure room, with a new hybrid cath lab/OR room expected to open in the near future
- Typical caseload is approximately 1–2 cases per day
- 10-hour variable shifts, 40 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required, with likely every other or every third weekend worked
- 24-hour on-call coverage required
- Float responsibilities within the Cath Lab for peripheral and structural procedures
- EMR: Epic (experience required)
- Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Siemens and Philips X-ray and hemodynamic systems
Requirements
- Active RN license — South Dakota license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procedure area required
- TAMBE (thoracoabdominal branch endoprosthesis) experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
- PMEG (physician modified endovascular graft) experience is required — candidates without this experience will not be considered
- Cath Lab experience required
- Endovascular approach experience required
- Experience with moderate sedation and vasopressor/drip titration required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Graduation from a board of nursing-approved nursing education program required
- ICU experience preferred
- Ideal background includes experience in either Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology with specialization in endovascular cases
- Two professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from any Monument Health facility to be eligible for this position
- Role does not involve recovering or prepping patients
- A charge nurse is available within the Cath Lab for support
- Orientation includes a facility/unit NEO session followed by four 10-hour shifts with a preceptor during the first week
- First-time travelers may be considered based on skills and management review
- TAMBE and PMEG experience should be highlighted on your application, including the facility where it was utilized
