Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology-Infusion position in Rapid City, SD, requiring active chemo certification and a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.
Details
- Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting
- Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion patient population
- 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No floating required
- No holiday coverage required
- Charts in Epic; Omnicell medication dispensing system
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or a Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and Chemotherapy certification (required); OCN preferred but not required
- Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
- Chemotherapy infusion experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- 2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
- DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include chemotherapy infusion administration, chart checks, rooming patients, vital signs, weight checks, review of systems, and medication reconciliation
- Unit support includes a clinical assistant (CA), charge nurse, resource nurse, and physician and ARNP on-site in clinic
- Orientation is conducted on-site at the Rapid City Cancer Care Institute
- Scrub color: Navy blue for nursing staff
- Free parking is available on-site
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former permanent staff must wait one full year before returning to the facility as a traveler
- Time-off requests are subject to facility approval
