Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Oncology-Infusion position in Rapid City, SD, requiring active chemo certification and a minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience.

Details

Outpatient oncology infusion clinic setting
Medical Oncology and Chemotherapy Infusion patient population
8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
No weekend rotation required
No on-call responsibilities
No floating required
No holiday coverage required
Charts in Epic; Omnicell medication dispensing system

Requirements

Active RN license issued by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or a Compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and Chemotherapy certification (required); OCN preferred but not required
Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
Chemotherapy infusion experience required
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
2 professional references dated within the past year required for consideration
DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Responsibilities include chemotherapy infusion administration, chart checks, rooming patients, vital signs, weight checks, review of systems, and medication reconciliation
Unit support includes a clinical assistant (CA), charge nurse, resource nurse, and physician and ARNP on-site in clinic
Orientation is conducted on-site at the Rapid City Cancer Care Institute
Scrub color: Navy blue for nursing staff
Free parking is available on-site
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Former permanent staff must wait one full year before returning to the facility as a traveler
Time-off requests are subject to facility approval
