Description

American Traveler is seeking a Sonographer with Maternal Fetal Medicine experience and active RDMS-OB/GYN and NT-FMF certifications for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care, Level I Trauma facility.

Details

• Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) ultrasound department within an acute care, Level I Trauma facility
• Department currently operates 3 scanner rooms with potential expansion to a 4th
• Studies include OB extended ultrasound, OB follow-up, umbilical artery Dopplers, middle cerebral artery Dopplers, 1st trimester screening, biophysical profiles, fetal echo, twin/triplet studies, transvaginal ultrasound, and PR interval assessments
• Average of 8–10 studies per day
• Equipment includes Philips EPIQ and GE Voluson 18; imaging systems include Syngo Dynamics and Syngo Workflow
• EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
• No weekends, no holidays, no call or on-call requirements
• Potential to work up to 2 days per week on a mobile unit traveling to outreach locations (up to 2 hours away); those days would be 10-hour shifts as the sole tech accompanied by a driver

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine sonography experience
• RDMS-OB/GYN certification via ARDMS required
• NT-FMF (Nuchal Translucency) certification required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Fetal Echo and CLEAR certification preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference from within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years of relevant specialty experience

Additional Information

• Perform OB and MFM ultrasound studies including advanced fetal surveillance, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, and fetal echocardiography
• In-house radiologist support available
• Department-specific MFM orientation provided (8 hours)
• Business casual attire or scrubs acceptable; scrubs are not provided
• Candidates who have previously worked for this facility must have an end date at least 6 months prior to their submission date
• Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be accepted
