Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with outpatient experience for a 13-week contract at a hospital-based outpatient rehab unit in South Carolina.

Details

• Hospital-based outpatient rehab unit, not located on the main hospital campus
• Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00am–4:30pm
• No on-call or weekend requirements; holiday coverage may be required
• Possibility of floating within scope to meet facility needs or to sister facilities
• Charting performed in Epic
• Free parking available on site

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience required
• Active SC Physical Therapist license or Multi-State Compact PT license required at the start of the contract; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required (AHA accepted)
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome, provided they have outpatient setting experience
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed upfront; approval is subject to facility needs
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties — peak activity months are August and September
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
• Charcoal gray scrubs required
