Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting in the Tucson, AZ area, with at least 1 year of outpatient experience and an active AZ license.

Details

  • Outpatient physical therapy setting
  • Patient population includes general outpatient, injured workers, and work hardening/return-to-work cases
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient PT experience required
  • Active AZ PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure may be accepted
  • Current BLS certification required if applicable
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access
  • Experience with or willingness to learn work injury management, including ACOMP systems for return-to-work planning
  • Role includes performing post-offer employment testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS, APET), Work Hardening Evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic/job analysis evaluations
  • Involves supervision of physical therapy assistants and PT technicians
  • Requires maintaining timely communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
  • Candidates must provide 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years
  • Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained is required for consideration
  • All time-off or scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of initial submission
