Description
American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a day shift cardiovascular OR position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience with 1 year of recent CVOR specialty experience and an active AL or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work setting is a hospital Main OR/CVOR environment in Tuscaloosa, AL
- Cardiovascular surgical patient population requiring circulator RN skills
- Circulating in the OR is required
- Schedule is 5x8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM), 40 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as assigned
- Floating to other units and hospital locations is required
- EMR system is Meditech (experience not required)
Requirements
- Active AL or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending or temporary licenses accepted
- No hits (past or current) on nursing license(s) allowed
- Certifications required: AHA or Red Cross BLS and ACLS
- NURSYS verification required
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year of recent CVOR/cardiovascular OR specialty experience
- Must be able to circulate in the OR
- Required documents for consideration: current state or compact RN license, driver's license, skills checklist, and two professional references from within the last year
Additional Information
- Plans, coordinates, and delivers quality patient care in accordance with professional nursing standards while building therapeutic relationships with patients and families
- Provides leadership by delegating and articulating care standards, and supervises LPNs, PCAs, unit secretaries, ortho techs, and other non-licensed staff
- Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required
- Scrub color requirement: solid navy
- Timekeeping system: Centricity
