Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Endovascular position at a regional medical center, requiring a background in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR and the ability to take on-call every other week.

• Neuro Endovascular procedural unit within a regional medical center
• This is a newly opened department/specialty focused on LVO stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs performed with an endovascular-trained neurologist
• Day shift: 08:00–16:30
• On-call required every other week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
• Moderate sedation training required
• Experience in neuro interventions, cath lab, or cardiovascular OR circulator role is mandatory
• ICU experience preferred

Additional Information

• This is a new department opening, and the facility is specifically seeking experienced staff to help establish the unit
• Responsibilities include administering moderate sedation, operating contrast injectors, sheath removal, physiological monitoring systems, and maintaining procedural aseptic scrubbing technique
• Nurses are expected to perform point-of-care testing and operate procedure suite patient equipment
• Code management responsibilities include crash cart, rapid response, and end-of-life protocols
• Patient safety initiatives include patient identification, clinical alarms, universal protocol, and infection prevention
