Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience and Epic proficiency, working nights in a hospital setting.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit with 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
• Patient population includes labor, preterm labor, low-risk antepartum, and OB-GYN surgical cases
• Procedures include blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming blankets, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and medication management including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
• Responsibilities span circulating, scrubbing, Pre-Op/Post-Op, low-risk antepartum, and couplet care
• Attends all deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
• Staffing ratio of 1:1–3
• Floating required to Post-Partum and NICU based on skill set; all travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• EMR: Epic (required)

Requirements

• Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and AWHONN Intermediate
• ACLS preferred
• Epic experience required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff of Swedish facilities must have been separated for at least 3 months and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former permanent staff of other Providence (non-Swedish) facilities are eligible after a 3-month separation
• RTO is expected to be minimal; requests should be communicated upfront as post-offer changes may be denied
• Refusal to float may result in assignment termination
