Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in New Jersey, requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience and an active NJ RN license.

Details

• Cardiac Catheterization Lab setting within a hospital environment
• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 37.5 hours per week
• STEMI on-call requirement of 10–12 shifts per month, including 1–2 weekend call blocks (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM), which count toward the monthly on-call total
• Charting performed in Epic (experience required)
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (Standard or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across the continuum of care, from pediatric to geriatric populations
• Deliver direct patient care within the Cath Lab, including knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with nursing process guidelines and patient education requirements
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification standards
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Two references are required for consideration
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a break of 30–60 days is required before returning to a new assignment
