Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in New Jersey, requiring strong experience in both circulating and scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties including Ortho, General, Robotics, Urology, and Podiatry.

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Surgical specialties include Orthopedics, General Surgery, Robotics, Urology, and Podiatry
• AM shift, 12-hour days (7am–5pm), 4 days per week, 36 hours per week
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license required (compact license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Strong proficiency in both circulating and scrubbing required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include perioperative assessment, patient education, pre- and post-operative care, and surgical documentation in Epic
• Individualizes patient care according to procedure type and anesthesia plan across the continuum of care
• Supports Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) evaluation and completion of patient testing orders
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Travelers who have been on assignment with this health system for one calendar year must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment
