Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Float position requiring ACLS/BLS certifications, a minimum of 2 years of experience, and travel nursing experience.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with float responsibilities to overflow areas and the ED (for holds)
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule (3x12 and 4x12 shifts)
• 84 hours scheduled biweekly

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• PCU or progressive care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Must be agreeable to an alternating 36/48-hour weekly schedule
• 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result will result in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all products that could cause a positive result, including CBD, prior to and upon arrival
• First-time travelers are not preferred; prior travel experience is strongly preferred
