Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment in a hospital-based Neonatal ICU in Panama City, FL.
Details
- Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 216-bed acute care hospital with a 28-bed NICU
- Neonatal and adult patient population, with a focus on Level 3 NICU care
- Variable patient ratios depending on day and area coverage
- Preferred experience with PB 840 and Dräger ventilators
- Preferred experience with surfactant delivery
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend work may be required
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy
- Adult and Level 3 NICU experience required
- Active experience within the last 6 months in the role being applied for
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, from American Academy of Pediatrics)
- AHA or ARC certifications accepted; no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
- Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services to neonatal and adult patients, including in the Level 3 NICU
- Team-oriented work environment with a staff of approximately 35
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- The facility holds multiple accreditations and quality recognitions, including Joint Commission Top Performer status and an accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI
