Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a night shift schedule, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active TX RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting in Irving, TX
• 12-bed unit with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Circulates C-sections as part of unit responsibilities
• Charting is performed in Meditech (experience preferred)
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required on an as-needed basis
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license required — temp licenses are not accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition), and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (intermediate or advanced) or NCCEFM
• Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Unit is supported by 1 tech per shift and 1 unit secretary on day shift
• RNC certification is preferred
• Facility provides scrubs
• Dress code includes: clean and healthy nails, neat hair with no extreme styles or colors, covered tattoos whenever possible, and no visible piercings other than ears
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
