Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract in Rochester, NY, requiring ACLS, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU setting within a hospital environment
• Patient population includes sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, and ARDS
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio on all shifts
• Specialized equipment includes ventilators, balloon pumps, EKOS, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, and EPOC
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating to Med/Surg (MS) required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required (pending licensure not accepted)
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement is mandatory for all RNs at this facility
• Required skills include: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, 12-lead EKG/ECG, IV insulin protocols, CVVHD/CRRT, arterial line management, central/PICC line care, blood product administration, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, vasoactive and cardiac drip titration, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ETT/NT suctioning, and infection prevention/PPE
• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy and white scrubs required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO requests should be kept to approximately 1 week per assignment; all time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
