Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel position requiring AHA BLS certification and night shift availability with rotating weekends and holidays.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts)
• 36-hour weekly work commitment
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility's service area

Additional Information

• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside standard patient care responsibilities
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
