Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and active ARRT MR certification for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Columbia, SC.
Details
- Work in an MRI department at a 641-bed regional community teaching medical center that is a designated Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
- Patient population spans all age groups, from neonates through older adults, across acute care and outpatient settings
- Imaging competencies include chest, abdomen, pelvis, head (with and without contrast), musculoskeletal trauma, and cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine
- Equipment includes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI systems, as well as PACS
- Contrast media preparation and administration, including starting peripheral IVs, is required
- Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Floating to other units or campuses is required based on census, limited to areas where competencies have been demonstrated
- 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent MRI Tech experience
- Active ARRT(MR) and BLS certifications required
- Active SC QRSA license required if applicable
- ARRT(R)(CT) certification required
- Pending licenses are not accepted — all credentials must be active at time of consideration
- Proficiency with isolation precautions and a broad range of MRI equipment (GE, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba)
- 1 year minimum of Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from Prisma Health Richland to be eligible for this position
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging across a wide range of body regions and patient populations, including contrast studies and peripheral IV placement
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront and are subject to facility approval
- The facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
