Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment requiring Level 1 trauma experience, a minimum of 3 years in the OR, and proficiency in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS specialties.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Staff are expected to work across a variety of surgical specialty areas including Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS
- Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- On-call required: weekday call runs 6:30 PM–7:00 AM; weekend call runs Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
- 40-minute response time required for on-call
- On-call is assigned on a rotating basis; the first 6-week schedule includes 2–3 weekday call shifts, and the following 6-week period includes a weekend call
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, with no licensure hits
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience required
- Level 1 trauma OR experience desired
- Experience in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS required
- 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
