Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of experience required.

Details

• 5S Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, including weekdays and weekends
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Charting performed in Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Two manager or charge nurse references from within the past year required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travel nursing experience is not required for this position
• Scrubs are not provided — candidates should plan accordingly
• The facility has a strict attendance policy and will only tolerate 2–3 call-offs per contract
• Blocked schedule requests cannot be guaranteed, though the unit will make reasonable efforts to accommodate travelers
• Cerner EMR experience is beneficial given its use on the unit
