Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Staffing Pool position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of IMC/PCU experience and an active NC or compact RN license.
Details
- Staffing Pool position providing flexible nursing coverage across all inpatient units, including support for inpatients held in the Emergency Department
- IMC/PCU patient population; must be willing to accept IMC patients
- Skills utilized include telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port management
- Day shift: 7:00am – 7:00pm, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Every other holiday (EOH) required
- On-call required 1 shift per pay period if census drops
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state license accepted in NC
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- CPI-A certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of current IMC/PCU experience required
- Minimum 1 year of overall nursing experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred
- PCU/IMC skills checklist required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinates and delivers patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
- Performs bedside point-of-care testing and manages patients with complex care needs
- Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families
- Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development initiatives
