Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (Neuro Stepdown) position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring neuro stepdown experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
• Unit 7A Neurology (Progressive Care/Neuro Stepdown) within a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Complex neurological and trauma patient population requiring stepdown-level care
• Epic EMR used; experience is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling is not approved
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• NIHSS certification must be present in profile for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of neuro stepdown experience required
• Strong med/surg candidates with NIHSS, ACLS, and stepdown experience may also be considered
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospitals with complex and diverse cases required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered

• Candidates must demonstrate proven success managing critical situations in large-scale trauma settings
