Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for an orthopedic spine center setting, with ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience required.

Details

• Outpatient orthopedic office setting within a spine center, focused exclusively on orthopedic radiology with an emphasis on spine imaging
• Procedures include X-ray, DXA, fluoroscopy, OR exams, portables, and CT
• Images are reviewed and forwarded via PACS for radiologist interpretation
• Day shift schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of radiologic technology experience required
• ARRT (or NMTCB) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Certification with the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with PACS systems required
• Experience performing X-ray, DXA, fluoroscopy, OR exams, portables, and CT per facility protocols

Additional Information

• Perform all radiological exams independently following successful completion of initial orientation and training
• Responsible for verifying patient identity using two identifiers prior to all procedures
• Must confirm correct exam orders and document any order clarifications appropriately
• Ensure all acquired images are successfully transferred into PACS and meet quality standards before forwarding to radiologists
• Demonstrate age-specific care competencies appropriate to the patient population served
• Annual training completion is required
