Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring ERCP experience and an active GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital endoscopy unit setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population
- Unit has 3 procedure rooms and 11 beds with an average daily census of 20
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Procedures performed include ERCP, ERCP with Spy Glass, bronchoscopy, EBUS, colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedures
- Schedule consists of two 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) and two 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) per week, totaling 36 hours
- EMR: Epic (Pyxis also used)
- Requires 2–3 weekend shifts per contract
- On-call required: 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy RN experience required
- ERCP experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- Navy blue scrubs required
- RTO maximum is 7 days per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- RTO blackout period: Spring Break (April 4–12)
- Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO allowed; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers must work 2 of them with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for approval
- Major holidays include: New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas Eve/Day
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are accepted — the posted schedule is firm
- Candidates must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Full compliance must be completed on time; non-compliance may result in a start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
