Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring pediatric experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Hospital-based Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) setting
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, and adults with cardiac disease, including intubated and ventilated patients
- Experience with inotropes, vasoactive medications, central lines, arterial lines, and PIVs required
- Possible exposure to Berlin Heart and HeartMate devices
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with the expectation to transfer and admit patients within the same shift
- Floating to the PICU may be required
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
- 8-week contract
Requirements
- Active OH RN license or valid Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Experience with CLABSI reduction protocols required
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Travel nursing experience is highly preferred for this position
- Responsibilities include caring for complex cardiac pediatric patients, managing vasoactive drips, and maintaining central and arterial line care
