Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract at an academic medical center, requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and an active MO or Compact license.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
• On-call responsibilities are required
• Weekend assignments are required
• Holiday coverage is required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
• Cerner experience is preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active RN license — MO or Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration (no pending licenses)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of OR-specific experience required
• BLS certification required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
• 2 professional references required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered but at a reduced pay rate
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront
• The facility operates 24/7, and rotating shifts, holiday work, and coverage during inclement weather may be required
• This role involves routine contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses
