Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology (VIR) position requiring at least one year of experience and AHA certifications, with on-call responsibilities included.
Details
- Interventional Radiology (VIR) unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
- Approximately 5 on-call shifts per month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Ability to function independently in the Interventional Radiology specialty area
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsible for an assigned group of patients, including documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments
- Assists physicians with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures, and makes referrals as appropriate
- BSN from a board-approved program is preferred
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 weeks total)
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon booking — compliance deadlines are strictly enforced and start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
