Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week acute care night shift assignment at a Level II Trauma facility in Bridgeport, WV.

• Acute care setting at a Level II Trauma facility
• Respiratory Therapy unit
• 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
• Epic EMR used in this position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Active Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) license; must be licensed and registered with the board for respiratory care — license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential via NBRC
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Functions under the supervision of the cardiopulmonary director or supervisor, providing basic cardiopulmonary care in general patient care areas; advanced responsibilities may be assigned as appropriate
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Artificial/false nails are not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before being considered; cumulative experience applies and travelers may not work within the WVU system for more than one year total before a 2-year break is required
• EKG testing may be required for certain units at this facility
