Description
American Traveler is hiring a Perinatal Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment in a Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinic setting, requiring ARDMS certification in OB/GYN and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine outpatient clinic setting
- Performs both clinic and inpatient sonographic scans
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (Fridays may be full or half days)
- No call and no weekend requirements
- Uses PACS system for generating and reviewing sonographic reports
- Epic EMR — training available during orientation or candidates may test out
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of sonography experience required
- Experience with both clinic and inpatient scans is required
- ARDMS certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology required
- Current BLS (AHA) required
- RVT registry preferred
- Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification is a plus
- NRP is a plus but not required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician, including acquiring and analyzing ultrasound data
- Prepares preliminary reports and provides summary findings to the physician to support patient diagnosis and management
- Serves as a communication liaison between the physician and the patient within the Women's Health team
- Responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory, including equipment performance monitoring and clinical quality assessment
- Recognizes and responds to patient emergencies, coordinating with the healthcare team as needed
- May be required to float to other areas within the organization up to competency level
- Minimum of 2 major holidays required during the assignment
- Travelers must observe a 13-week break before returning after a prior contract at this facility
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- RTO must be submitted upfront — time is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for RTO
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
