Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position at an acute care Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Center, with scrub experience and Epic proficiency required.
Details
- Position is in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab of an acute care, Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and certified stroke center
- Facility is nationally recognized for cardiac cath lab excellence with ACC accreditation for PCI procedures and six state-of-the-art cath labs
- Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with rotating late shifts when cases extend into the evening
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Charting is performed in Epic (experience required)
- EP Lab closes on facility-observed holidays
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- EP Lab experience required, including EP mapping
- Scrub experience required
- Proficiency with fluoroscopy, Siemens, ultrasound, Philips, Carto Ensite, and Cardiolab systems required
- Skills required include sterile technique, EKG lead placement, and dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation
- Strong cardiac background required
- Epic charting experience required
- Must provide a copy of driver's license and Social Security card for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing EP Lab procedures with a multidisciplinary team supported by adjacent cardiac surgery and hybrid ORs
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management is expected
- All staff rotate late stays when cases extend into the evening hours
- One holiday may be required per 13-week contract, rotated with staff
- Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2-week period
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside a minimum of 50 miles from the facility (per address on driver's license) to be eligible
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application for consideration
