Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced acute care Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of inpatient adult speech and swallow experience for a 13-week hospital assignment in Pomona, CA.
Details
- Inpatient acute care hospital setting
- Focuses on adult speech, swallow, and language/cognitive assessments and treatment
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm or 9am–6pm (1-hour lunch)
- 5x8-hour shifts per week
- Every 3rd weekend required
Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted SLP license (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient adult speech and swallow experience
- Acute care hospital experience required
- MBSS certification preferred
- Current BLS certification
Additional Information
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized plans of care addressing swallowing, language, and cognitive status
- Treat adult acute care patients in an inpatient hospital environment
- Business casual attire with a white lab coat required
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Cath lab is super traveler friendly, easygoing docs, nice coworkers, super easy to get to the facility from surrounding areas, great about scheduling what you needed off, LOTS of outdoor activities to do within an hour of here! Safe gated parking area (called the Cage), hospital is clean and welcoming, staff usually pretty great in all areas I went.
Cons
DO NOT STAY IN POMONA, stay in surrounding areas (San Dimas, La Verne, Covina, Glendora, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Claremont are all good).
