Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position at a teaching, Level IV trauma acute care hospital in Arizona, with float pool responsibilities across ICU and MS/Telemetry units on night shifts.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 87 staffed beds, designated as a teaching facility and Level IV trauma center
• Primary placement in the ICU with required flexibility to float to MS/Telemetry unit based on unit needs
• ICU patient ratio is 1:1-2; MS/Telemetry patient ratio is 1:4-5
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Charting performed in Cerner
• Standard MS/Telemetry equipment used; Liko lifts available in nearly all patient rooms
• No on-call requirements
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted AZ RN license or valid compact RN license required; may be considered with a pending license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• ICU and/or PCU experience strongly preferred; candidates with strong MS/Telemetry experience will also be considered
• Must be open to floating between ICU and MS/Telemetry units as needed

• Traveler will work within a flex pool and should be well-rounded and adaptable to varying unit needs
• Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) practices are followed in accordance with facility patient safety standards
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• RTO requests require unit manager approval
• Blocked scheduling may be considered based on unit needs and manager approval
