Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with vascular experience and ARRT certification for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma, Level I Peds Trauma acute care hospital in Florida.

Details

  • Work in a 4-room interventional radiology suite — 3 rooms equipped with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE unit)
  • Wide variety of cases including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
  • Daily caseload of 20–30 cases per tech
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Weekend work required
  • On-call required
  • May float within scope to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities required
  • Cerner EMR (preferred)

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of IR Tech experience, with vascular experience required
  • Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
  • FL state license required if applicable
  • Proficiency with PACS, contrast administration, and biopsies required
  • Experience required with stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy IR procedures
  • COVID-19 vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
  • Candidates must not be local to the facility area — local candidates are not eligible for this position

  • Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma facility with 615 staffed beds
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Black or navy scrubs required
  • Parking is covered
